gainfully employed squared

People do say, second time round can be better. I took this advice and went back to work at The Esplanade Hotel. This time i am staying away from the bar and peddling a clip board. My official role is "Mailing List." It's not as bad as you think... I promise. It's not easy, but it is fun. Getting to walk around the entire venue, seeing at the bands, brilliance. If you're round come say hi!

bench shifting

A mini bite ago i moved benches on a trial run. The trial didn't last long, as i vibed with my new space immediately. Not to mention my new bench neighbours. More about them in a moment....

Here what it looks like now, no more hideous lavender paint, blocked in sides and a bigger draw... Freedom!

To my left i have and to my right i have Mr Chris Massey (thats the best i could find on him) or should i say Mr Cheesy Grin.

Change is a good as a holiday... Not quite but this i'll do.

and now for my contribution.

For the auction i have donated my women's chain (925 silver and silk thread) from first semester. This is a very meaningful piece for me. It represents the milestones in a woman's life, all connected by 2 strands be it paternal and maternal dna.

Here is the link to it on the auction blog and here it is -

a reaction to the bp oil saga...

Sebastian Errazuriz is a chilean-born new york-based artist. His reaction to the BP oil debacle has manifested itself into art.

The piece titled, "we are fucking angry" is aesthetically pleasing and wonderfully conceptual.

byron bay

Easter break, has led to me procasinating over my first art theroy and history assignment - critical annotated bibliography... Which in turn has lead me to go looking through old photos.

So here are my Byron photos. It was my first time to Byron and it was for my cousins wedding, it was a week long event and suggested accommodation was Byron at Byron the joint blew my mind!

The resort has built amongst the trees, without disturbing the eco life which makes the setting seem like it had been there for years.

View from the restaurant

Restaurant, top notch food. All food is made from local produce.

The local turkey.

Walkway to the rooms, raised to protect wildlife.
Bridge view, at night all you could hear were frogs!

Weird looking alien flower thing.

Walking to the beach...
